Challenge Anneka
Myleene Klass took part in ‘Challenge Anneka’ and played the piano for the lead track on the album ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’.
Anneka Rice was challenged by the Association of Childrens Hospices to produce and record an album of songs from the musicals, she needed to first beg, bribe and bamboozle some of the UK’s highest-profile recording artists and performers to sing. If that wasn’t a daunting enough task, she also needed to throw a Gala concert to launch the album and all this in just five days!
The children were adament to sing the song ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ and Anneka pulled together Duncan James from Blue and Myleene Klass to perform along side the choir of children from Association of Childrens Hospices.
Anneka also managed to get McFly to record a special version of ’You’re The Want That I Want’ from Grease the musical, as well as a number of huge other talents including Lesley Garret and Jermain Jackson.
The album was released on Monday 4th June and has sold thousands to raise money for Children’s Hospices across the country. You can still buy the album and support these children and their families.
