Youth Music

In August 2005 Youth Music announced the appointment of Myleene Klass as its first ever Ambassador, her duties will include helping to communicate the message that all young people deserve the chance to get involved with music making.

As an Ambassador, the ex-Hear’Say member, whose debut solo album was nominated for Album of The Year at the Classical Brits, will have a nuber of duties including; hosting singing workshops, meeting and motivating Youth Music participants, and spreading the organisation’s message to the general public.

“I'm really excited to be involved with Youth Music”, said Myleene. “I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to learn to play instruments from an early age, as well as being exposed to different musical styles. I understand not everybody has had these chances and I think this is a fantastic way for young people to realise their potential and maybe even become the musicians and performers of the future.”

Michelle James, Director of Communications for Youth Music commented, ‘We are delighted to have Myleene on-board with us. Very few people have had her experiences in the world of music and she’s a great role model for what can be achieved by getting involved in music early.’
